Did You Know that HARRASSOWITZ Celebrates Its 140th Anniversary in 2012?
In 1872, Otto Harrassowitz and Oscar Richter founded the antiquarian bookseller Richter & Harrassowitz in Leipzig, Germany. Three years later, the partners separated, and Otto Harrassowitz became the sole owner of the company, renaming it OTTO HARRASSOWITZ.
Today, 140 years later, HARRASSOWITZ is renowned as a book and serials vendor to academic and research libraries worldwide, specializing in the distribution of scholarly books, periodicals, e-resources, and music scores.
