HARRASSOWITZ Named Global Sales Partner for De Gruyter e-dition:
De Gruyter, a publisher of scholarly works in the humanities and natural sciences, recently announced that it has chosen HARRASSOWITZ as a global sales partner for the new De Gruyter e-dition, a unique "eBook on Demand” collection spanning more than 200 years of publishing history, where previously-published books are digitized at the time of order. This arrangement makes the De Gruyter e-dition titles available for order directly through HARRASSOWITZ.
Hosted on De Gruyter's Reference Global platform, the new e-dition collection features over 60,000 high-quality titles, published in both English and German, from the company's backlist dating back to 1749.
Access to De Gruyter e-dition titles is controlled by IP address. The De Gruyter purchase model allows content to be viewed by unlimited simultaneous users with no time limit. Hardcover reprint editions can also be ordered.
As the primary supplier of e-dition, HARRASSOWITZ is uniquely positioned to provide customized packages in specific subject or topic areas. For orders of 20 or more titles or for De Gruyter's "Best of” packages, discounts ranging from 5% to15% off the list price are being offered.
HARRASSOWITZ is proactively adding new e-dition titles to OttoEditions as information is supplied by De Gruyter. To order an e-dition title that is not currently listed in OttoEditions, please enter an order for the print version with a note that you wish to order only the e-dition. Libraries can also order individual titles or specialized packages by contacting service@harrassowitz.de.
