HARRASSOWITZ New Title Announcements for Books and Music Scores Approval Plans:

HARRASSOWITZ New Title Announcements are now being printed on somewhat larger paper, allowing us to include some new features that will assist libraries with their pre-order searching. Printed slips now include a barcode for one of the following: the 13-digit ISBN if available, the EAN (European Article Number) if no ISBN is available, or the HARR Title ID if neither ISBN nor EAN is available. These printed barcodes will make it possible for libraries to use barcode readers to enter the numbers when searching the library catalog, OCLC WorldCat, RLIN, or OttoEditions.

A larger paper size also leaves more space for selectors to write notes on the printed slips.

Further enhancements to the layout and content of the New Title Announcements, both printed and electronic, will be coming in the future, including English-language subject keywords for each title.
