Electronic Data Interchange
HARRASSOWITZ supports the exchange of electronic orders, claims and invoices with library management systems.
Orders for books and music scores are accepted in the following formats:
- EDIFACT
- X12
- BISAC fixed field
Periodical claims are accepted in the following formats:
- EDIFACT
- X12
HARRASSOWITZ supplies invoices in the following formats:
- EDIFACT (books and music scores, periodicals, standing orders)
- X12 (periodicals)
- III format (periodicals)
- MARC 21 records with invoice information
MARC 21 
records EOD (Embedded Order Data) can be provided:
- With invoice information, for firm ordered monographs and music scores, items sent on approval plan, and volumes supplied on standing order
- With order information, for orders entered in OttoEditions, HARRASSOWITZ's online management system for monographs and music scores
- With price quotes, for HARRASSOWITZ new title notifications and for items selected in OttoEditions
HARRASSOWITZ works with library system vendors to test new interfaces as they become available and is committed to implementing any standard interface for which there is a demand.
