Blackwell Reference Online:
Blackwell Reference Online is a new online library that gives instant access to the most authoritative and up-to-date scholarship in the humanities and social sciences. With almost 300 reference volumes, Blackwell Reference Online is the largest academic reference collection available online, including:
1. Critically-acclaimed Blackwell Companions and Handbooks
2. Major reference works such as the Blackwell Encyclopedia of Management
and the Companion to Syntax
3. A host of other valuable reference materials such as dictionaries,
encyclopedias and concise companions
Blackwell Reference Online offers a full range of library services, to enable its seamless integration into libraries:
1. Usage reports compliant with the COUNTER Code of Practice for Books and Reference Works
2. Unlimited access through IP recognition, username/password, referring URL and Athens
3. MARC records available for downloading
4. DOIs at book and chapter/entry level for easy uploading into the library OPAC
5. Support of OpenURL technology
6. Institutional branding, if desired
Blackwell Reference Online is available to institutions as a one-time purchase giving your
library unlimited access. Institutions may buy either the complete collection or any of the following subject collections:

2. History
3. Language & Linguistics
4. Literature & Cultural Studies
5. Philosophy & Religion
6. Sociology & Psychology
Each year Blackwell will add all of its new reference titles to Blackwell Reference Online, which can be added for a fee. During 2007 there will be no charge for these additions.
