De Gruyter Databases Available through HARRASSOWITZ:
HARRASSOWITZ is pleased to offer De Gruyter's online databases through its subscription services. De Gruyter's databases provide access to primary sources, text collections, reference works and bibliographies in many subject areas, including:
- Art and Music (e.g. Allgemeines Künstlerlexikon (AKL) Online)
- Classical and Ancient Near Eastern Studies (e.g. Germanische Altertumskunde Online)
- History (e.g. Nationalsozialismus, Holocaust, Widerstand und Exil 1933–1945)
- Linguistics and Literary Studies (e.g. Germanistik Online Datenbank)
- Natural Science (e.g. Zoology Online)
De Gruyter databases are currently available through the De Gruyter online platform, Reference Global. Starting December 2011, content will move to the new online platform "De Gruyter Online". Access is controlled by IP address.
De Gruyter offers two different pricing models for its online databases: a purchase option (with an annual fee if content is updated), and a "rental", or subscription, option, with access for one year. With the rental option, perpetual access is granted in most cases after six years.
