News Release (April 2011) |
New Subscription Options and Online Platform for Taylor & Francis:
Taylor & Francis has recently announced new subscription options for 2012.
In addition to the currently available print including online and online only formats, Taylor & Francis will be offering print including online with archive and online only with archive in 2012.
Whereas the current options offer back access only to content from 1997, with earlier volumes available as part of separate archive collections, the new options will give customers online access all the way back to the very first volume, regardless of when it was published.
For example, customers renewing in 2012 for the print including online with archive option will receive the following:
All 2012 print issues
Current access to 2012 online issues
Online access to content from volume 1 to 2012
Please note, though, that the new subscription online archive options do not include perpetual access. In order to receive the archive for 2013 as well, customers will need to renew for either print including online with archive or online only with archive in 2013. If the library decides not to renew or changes to a different format, the library will only retain access to the 2012 issues.
Taylor & Francis has not yet announced pricing for the new plans, nor which journals will be included. HARRASSOWITZ will provide you with this information as soon as it becomes available.
Please also note that Taylor & Francis is changing its online platform from informaworld to Taylor & Francis Online, a new online platform for Taylor & Francis journals and reference works. It will be launched in the coming months and has been designed to provide a cleaner, more intuitive user interface, enhanced discoverability for journals and reference works, greater flexibility on how and when to access content, and improved management of authentication, usage statistics and linking. Taylor & Francis has created an FAQ document to help address customer queries.
