Paracelsus, Philippus Aureolus Theophrastus
Theologische Schriften [= Theological Writings]:
Edited by Urs Leo Gantenbein in cooperation with Michael Baumann and Detlef Roth.
Berlin : de Gruyter, 2008 -
In German.
The edition presents the previously unpublished theological and religious writings of Paracelsus (1493-1541) in 8 volumes. After Luther and Melanchthon, Paracelsus was one of the most prolific Early High German writers, yet the Theologika were only partially accessible until today. This edition coming out of the ETH Zürich offers a reliable, critical account of Paracelsus' writings, including word indices, introductions to the groups of his works, etc. Paracelsus' non-medical writings represent an important document of the intellectual history of the 16th century, of interest to language and literature historians, as well as to theologians and philosophers.
