(May 2008) New platform for Walter de Gruyter online journals:Walter de Gruyter online journals, including the imprints K.G. Saur and Max Niemeyer, are now available through a new platform called Reference Global. Access through Atypon will continue to be available through June, 2008, but will cease after the end of June. Walter de Gruyter sent emails to all subscribers on May 15, notifying them of all content to which they currently have access. Subscriber IP addresses have been migrated to Reference Global automatically, and access should already be activated for all subscribers. If you experience any problems with online access to your Walter de Gruyter journals, please contact service@harrassowitz.de. Please note that usage data from Atypon will not be migrated to Reference Global. If you are interested in your usage statistics through June 2008, you are strongly advised to download your usage statistics from the Atypon website before the end of June. If you have problems downloading your usage statistics from Atypon, please contact service@harrassowitz.de. Walter de Gruyter asks that subscribers take the following steps to ensure a seamless transition to the Reference Global platform: 1. Please make sure that in your institution's OPAC, link resolvers and journal lists use DOI's to link to the journals. Using DOI's ensures that your systems will always link to the current journal location. An Excel file listing the DOI's for the de Gruyter journals can be downloaded. 2. Please reply to the email from Walter de Gruyter, mentioned above, for registering as a library administrator. You will find a link in the email to start this very brief registration process. Library administrators can check IP settings, subscription lists, and usage statistics. You can also upload your institution's logo, thus pointing out to your patrons that your institution paid for their access.
